Cavallino 270: inside the Ferrari 308 GTB

| Monaco| Monaco

Cavallino 270 (December 2025 – January 2026) is here! Our cover car features a silver 1976 Ferrari 308 “Fiberglass”, a personal gift from Enzo Ferrari to Leonardo Fioravanti to thank him for designing the car, who reveals the model’s design secrets. We also feature the speed record-hunting 1959 410 Superamerica, which led a tough life in the US before its recent restoration.
The events section is packed, starting with a first-hand report from the Modena Cento Ore from behind the wheel of an F430 Spider, then moving on to the Ferrari Cavalcade Classiche in the Dolomites and the Villa La Massa Excellence concours d’élégance near Florence.
We get up close with two of Maranello’s latest marvels: the exhilarating 296 Speciale and the already-iconic 849 Testarossa. Finally, we tell the remarkable story of François Sicard, the French mechanic who became NART’s legendary race technician. Plus: updates on the 2025 F1 and WEC seasons. A celebration of Ferrari page after page.

Main feature and cover car: 1976 Ferrari 308 GTB “Fiberglass” s/n 20275

Celebrating its first half century in 2025, the 308 GTB is considered one of the most iconic models ever made by Ferrari. Its lines shaped Ferrari production for the following decades. Designed, for Carrozzeria Pininfarina, by engineer Leonardo Fioravanti, it is still considered one of the most beautiful prancing horses ever manufactured. S/n 20275 was a personal gift from Enzo Ferrari to Fioravanti, as a thank you for creating this car’s successful silhouette, and it sports various unique original specifications.

Profile: 1959 410 Superamerica s/n 1285

When you think of a racing Ferrari, the ultra-luxurious 410 Superamerica is not the first model that springs to mind. And yet this 1959 Series III Coupé Pinin Farina, originally delivered in Arizona to J.A. “Gus” Stallings, twice tried to set a new world speed record in Bonneville, before being returned to Luigi Chinetti when it was 3 years old. It lived a harsh life, with many owners but few real caretakers, until recently when it was completely restored by Paul Russell.

Leonardo Fioravanti, the 308’s designer

To better celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 308, we asked Leonardo Fioravanti to tell us the story behind the style of this model, and we also delved into the special 308s made.

Driving the 296 Speciale

The 296 Speciale—regardless of version—is one of the most fun road-legal Ferraris to drive, and definitely one of the fastest. Perfect on track, and capable of shattering any speed limit in just a few seconds from standstill, the 296 put a huge smile on our test driver’s face.

Just launched, the 849 Testarossa is already an icon. We delved deep into its technical characteristics, origins, and available specifications—going so far as to list the full specs of the five cars used for the presentation. If you are looking for inspiration.

The NART’s racing cars specialist: François Sicard

A French mechanic and specialist in German cars who earned legendary status in the Ferrari world in the USA—surely a unique profile and achievement. François Sicard, originally a Mercedes 600 specialist, went on to become the most respected and talented technician to work on NART’s racing cars. We tell his amazing true story.
